Shark Tank’s Daymond John Engaged to Longtime Girlfriend Heather — Details on Her Ring!

A lifetime investment! Shark Tank’s Daymond John is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Heather, the entrepreneur exclusively reveals to Us Weekly.

The founder and CEO of FUBU popped the question with a custom-designed 9.5-carat emerald-cut diamond ring while taping Shark Tank on Thursday, September 22.

John tells Us he had been planning on popping the question to Heather for about two or three years now, and that the proposal came as a total surprise to her.

“I was a little nervous,” John, 47, says of proposing. “I had to create a speech. I knew a lot of people were looking at me. You know, you never know how someone is going to react, of course. She could always say no, and that’s the first time that I’ve been on the carpet pitching somebody! So, a little nerve-racking, of course.”

The entrepreneur adds that his love “choked up” a little bit, “but she said yes pretty quickly!”

John and Heather’s 6-month-old daughter, Minka, was also present. (The couple shared the news of their little girl’s birth exclusively with Us Weekly in March.)

“My daughter was sitting in her lap, so I was looking at my beautiful daughter at the same time,” he adds of the big moment, which was caught on tape for them to revisit. He also tells Us that he explained to Heather in his speech that God had given him everything he needs and that he is “rich with love.”

As for his favorite thing about his new fiancée? “Her calm demeanor,” he gushes to Us.

And now that the two are engaged, John tells Us that he's looking forward to “more years of happiness” with his bride-to-be.

Shark Tank returns to ABC Friday, September 23, at 9 p.m. ET.
