Going their separate ways! Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama announced via Instagram on Friday, June 3, that they have broken up after six years together.

As Us Weekly previously reported, the pair, who first met in 2010, shared the statement on their respective accounts, writing, “This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as friends. We will always be supportive of one another. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years.”

Let Us recap the fun-loving duo’s sweet romance below.

Sparks Fly at Valderrama’s Home, 2010

Lovato, 23, and Valderrama, 36, first locked eyes at the That ‘70s Show alum’s Los Angeles house while shooting a Voto Latino PSA to encourage Latino Millennials to vote.

“I went to his house for a PSA shoot for Voto Latino in 2010,” the “Confident” singer told AndPop in 2014. “I was like, ‘Oh, my god. This guy is so attractive!’ We started talking.”

PDA Alert, 2011

The Disney alum and From Dusk Till Dawn actor — who previously kept their relationship under wraps — were spotted making out in front of his home in November 2011, just months after Lovato was released from a treatment facility, where she was treated for a series of personal struggles, including an eating disorder, self-harming and a bipolar disorder.

After years of secrecy, the pair finally started sharing several sweet messages, birthday wishes and photos of one another on their social media accounts. The former X Factor judge called her beau the “funniest, most inspiring, incredible man I know” on Twitter in January 2014. Five months later, they embraced and cozied up during a brief scene in Lovato’s “Really Don’t Care” music video, which was filmed at the L.A. Gay Pride parade.

In August, Valderrama posted on Instagram a lovey-dovey birthday message for his girlfriend, writing, “Love you through all.” Two months later, Lovato shared a rare picture that showed her kissing her “perfect” boyfriend on Instagram.

While celebrating being three years sober in March 2015, the entertainer shared an emotional message on Instagram, writing, “I wish I could put into words how grateful I am for this man right here. But my love has grown to a level that words could never possibly express how much this man completes me. He’s loved me the way I never thought I deserved to be loved and with this day marking my 3rd year sober… After sharing my ups, putting up with my downs and supporting my recovery… he still never takes credit and I want the world to know how incredible his soul is. I really wouldn’t be alive today without him. I love you Wilmer.”

Sixth Anniversary Getaway to St. Bart’s, 2015

The couple could hardly keep their hands off each other while vacationing in St. Bart’s in December 2015. They were spotted making out on the beach during their romantic Caribbean getaway.
