Sticking together. Diddy and Cassie have not split, contrary to reports, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm.
Speculation of a breakup began after the couple had a fight in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, August 17. TMZ reported that the rapper, 46, took her phone before exiting their car, but later returned her phone.
Per TMZ, Cassie's mother, Stacey Hobson, called the police about the incident. "[It] is what it is," a source tells Us, adding that it was just an argument.
Diddy and the "Me & U" singer, 29, who've stayed private about their romance for the most part, have been dating on and off since 2007. Cassie opened up about her longtime beau with Madame Noire in 2013.
"Just being around him is a completely inspiring experience," she said that October. "The key to maintaining any relationship — be it a romantic relationship or a friendship — is honesty and communication."
That same month, Cassie shared a photo of the couple cuddling in bed. "@iamdiddy can be pretty heavy sometimes," she captioned the pic. "This picture is cute to me because I normally sleep on top of him. … He really fell asleep like this."
