There's a new sheriff in town! Hell On Wheels' Dohn Norwood, 39, married girlfriend of three and a half years Marlene Glasper, 32, on Saturday, September 28, his rep confirms to Us Weekly.
"This relationship has taught me a lot about love, living and learning," the bride, who wore a white David's Bridal gown on the day of the wedding, tells Us.
The "You're All I Need" themed wedding took place at the Fess Parker Santa Barbara and Norwood's costars Common, Anson Mount and Colm Meaney plus famous pals Ricardo Chavira and Omar J. Dorsey were among the 150 guests who joined the celebrations.
The date held extra special meaning for the couple — it was the same day as the premiere of the first Hell On Wheels episode in which Norwood and Glasper's names both appeared in the credits. (Glasper serves as a musical consultant for the show.) The wedding party gathered that evening to watch as the newlyweds’ names scrolled on screen.
Fitting in with the red, black and white color scheme, guests enjoyed a white wedding cake with white buttercream frosting and a red fondant ribbon tied around. Adding to the Hollywood glamour, the groom's cake was a red velvet clapperboard with cream cheese filling. Both cakes were custom-designed by Wayne Kjar of Your Cake Baker in Malibu, CA.
"Our experience has been very serendipitous since we met," Norwood tells Us of his love. Serendipitous indeed — Glasper's mother introduced the pair after working with Norwood on after school programming in Los Angeles. The couple got engaged last October at a Clippers vs. Lakers game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on the Kiss Cam. This is the second marriage for Norwood and first for Glasper.
Next up for the newlyweds? With a week off from the Hell On Wheels set, the couple is currently honeymooning in Paris and London.
