Elizabeth Hurley is sharing insight into her bond with Miley Cyrus amid her romance with the former Disney Channel star’s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.
“I have met Miley. She’s adorable,” Hurley, 61, said during her Monday, July 27, appearance on Radio Andy’s “Andy Cohen Live.”
Though Hurley had never met Miley, 33, before she started dating Billy Ray, 64, the English actress said she was familiar with the “Flowers” singer because her son, Damian, 24, loved her show Hannah Montana when he was younger.
“He loved Father Montana, and you know, he loved Miley too, so I always knew who she was, and when he was a young teen, he used to love all her music,” Hurley explained. “I used to have to watch her music videos like ‘Wrecking Ball’ a zillion times with him, so we were very familiar with who she was, and I knew I was going to like her, and I do like her.”
The model added that Billy Ray “gets on really well” with her family, too.
“When he’s here, I often have a lot of family staying,” she noted. “I’ve been lucky to meet some of his kids, and they seem fabulous. I love his dogs who live in Tennessee. He loves my dogs that live here. He’s got a favorite of my dogs. My spaniel called Ava follows him around and goes into mourning when he leaves, so we have really integrated pretty well.”
Billy Ray shares Miley, son Braison, 32, and daughter Noah, 26, with ex-wife Tish Cyrus, whom he was married to from 1993 to 2022. He also adopted Tish’s children from a previous marriage, daughter Brandi, 39, and son Trace, 37. Additionally, the country singer is a dad to son Christopher, 34, from a previous relationship.
Meanwhile, Hurley shares Damian with ex Steve Bing. She was previously married to Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2011.
Hurley and Billy Ray met while costarring in the 2022 film Christmas in Paradise. They later reconnected after the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer finalized his divorce from his third wife, Firerose, in 2024. (Billy Ray married Firerose, 37, in 2023. He was also previously married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991.)
Hurley and Billy Ray went public with their romance via Instagram in April 2025, sharing an Easter photo together. The couple made their red carpet debut the following month.
Though Hurley and Billy Ray seemed like an odd pairing to many fans, the Austin Powers actress said on Monday that they are “remarkably similar in strangely different ways.”
“I think we’ve had different upbringings, but very similar life experiences in a way,” she explained. “We’ve both been in showbiz our whole lives. We’ve both lived out of suitcases our entire lives, so that’s very normal for us, and as you know, it’s very difficult, I think, for people not in show business to ever get that you always have your passport in your purse, and if someone offers you a good job, you’ll fly off and do it at any given moment. You’re not reliable for weddings, christenings, graduations. You’re not reliable for anything because work comes first, so we’ve both been that person for a very long time, and that really helps.”
Hurley continued, “We’re both country mice at heart, and it’s pretty new still. We’ve only been together nearly 18 months, but we spend the vast majority of our time in the countryside, whether it’s in England or Tennessee, and we like doing the same things, which some people would think is a little odd. We like bird watching. We’ve got binoculars. We’ve got long lenses and we watch birds of prey a lot. I do the gardening. He sits under a tree and plays his guitar, and we couldn’t be happier. May sound odd to some people, but for me, it’s bliss.”
