His last meal before saying “I do!” George Clooney grabbed breakfast with Cindy Crawford and her husband, Clooney’s best pal Rande Gerber, to kick off his wedding day in Venice, Italy on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Clooney, 53, looked calm and happy during the outdoor meal as he wore a blue button-down shirt and accessorized with black sunglasses. His bride-to-be Amal Alamuddin was not on hand.
An insider tells Us Weekly that guests like Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso, Vogue’s Anna Wintour, and latecomer Bono are now assembling to travel to the Aman hotel by taxi boats, where the ceremony will be held.
Clooney and Alamuddin’s wedding guests didn’t waste much time to celebrate the lovebirds when they arrived in town this week. Friday night, the Gravity actor boarded a boat for his very own bachelor party while an Alexander McQueen clad Alamuddin enjoyed an intimate dinner at the Aman Resort for a separate bachelorette party.
The couple — engaged since April — are moments away from tying the knot at the seven-star hotel Aman Canal Grande. For the groom, he’s most excited to share this day with his parents.
“George more than most things, is excited to have his father, whom he has so much respect for, be there to see his wedding along with his mother,” a source previously told Us. “Having them there is tremendously important.”
