Her No. 1 fan! Hollywood up-and-comer Gina Rodriguez seems to have it all: an acclaimed hit TV series, a surprise Golden Globe win, and yes, a boyfriend to share all her success with. The Jane the Virgin actress recently opened up to Us Weekly about her beau Henri Esteve, and how he often reacts while watching her breakout CW series.
“When your super-tough Cuban boyfriend from Miami starts tearing up, you’re like, I’m doing something right,” Rodriguez, 30, gushed.
The actress first met the actor — who played Javier Salgado on Revenge — at a wrap party, and they quickly realized that they worked on the same studio lot. And the rest, as they say, is history.
“It’s convenient, which I wanted,” she told Us. “I was like, ‘Where do you shoot? Okay, we’re dating!'”
The couple recently spent the holidays together in Miami. On Jan. 11, Esteve was on hand to watch the Chicago native win the Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on Jane the Virgin.
“Don’t really have the words,” Esteve tweeted at the time, “just incredibly proud of @HereIsGina @goldenglobes.”
