About

The youngest daughter of Puerto Rican parents Gino and Magali Rodriguez, Gina Rodriguez is best known for her role as Jane Villaneuva on the CW series Jane the Virgin, which earned her a Golden Globe Award in 2015.

The Tisch School of the Arts alum has also appeared in films including Annihilation (2018), Someone Great (2019) and Awake (2021). She voices the titular role in the animated Netflix adventure series Carmen Sandiego.

In May 2019, the actress married actor and MMA fighter Joe LoCicero, whom she met on the set of Jane the Virgin. The Not Dead Yet star revealed in July 2022 that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child. Son Charlie was born in early 2023.
