Ladies, to your corners! Gretchen Rossi left The Real Housewives of Orange County more than a year ago, but her feud with former costar and friend Tamra Barney is as fierce as it ever was when they shared the screen. Rossi, 35, repeatedly dissed Barney, 46, during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, Oct. 14, calling her a liar and a sociopath.
After watching a highlight reel of Barney trash-talking her former pal on past episodes of RHOC and WWHL, Rossi was asked to respond — and boy, did she ever.
"The thing is that Tamra Barney has lost all credibility with everybody, including the viewers," Rossi began. "She's the biggest lying, manipulating, conniving, narcissistic sociopath. And I say she's a sociopath because sociopaths don't even realize that they do any wrong. All they do is blame everyone else for their mistakes, and that's all she continues to do."
Later during the show, Cohen asked the reality star to say something nice about her nemesis. "She lies really good. She manipulates really well," Rossi replied. "She lies and tells everyone she is doing it just for the show."
The soon-to-be Mrs. Slade Smiley reiterated that point during the WWHL After Show, telling Cohen she takes issue with Barney's habit of telling everyone she plays a "fictional character" on RHOC.
"I think that hurts the franchise. Because when I was on the show, I was real, I was really me," said Rossi, who had an on-and-off friendship with Barney during her five seasons on the Bravo smash. "I wasn't playing a character, and I wasn't doing anything to make good TV."
Barney, for her part, responded by sending a note to Cohen, which he read on the air. "Did she come on just to talk about me?" the note read. "Tell her I said she looks beautiful and I wish her well and best of luck with getting pregnant."
Barney also took to Instagram after the show, sharing a picture of a quote reading: "Holding a grudge is letting someone live rent-free in your head."
