Hilary Duff’s beloved dog Frenchie Beau has passed away. The Younger actress canceled an event in New York City and penned an emotional note via Instagram to mourn her pooch on Tuesday, January 12.
“It’s really true that we never know what the day will bring us. I am shattered in a million pieces today because my baby Frenchie Beau has gone to doggy heaven this afternoon,” Duff wrote. “I’m sure I will post way too many pictures of him this week but as of now I can’t even bear to look at a photo of his little face that melted me every time. I can’t fathom never holding his heavy little head in my hands with his two big eyes looking at me again. Remember every day to be grateful for what we have that makes our hearts happy and full. My naughty boy I will miss you so. Heart. Broken.”
The actress, 28, welcomed Frenchie Beau to her family in November 2014. Duff, who was previously married to Mike Comrie, is mom to son Luca, 3.
"Hey everybody, meet Beau … Beau … Meet everybody!” she shared alongside a selfie of them together on Instagram two years ago.
Earlier in the day, the Lizzie McGuire alum appeared on the Today show to promote season 2 of Younger and revealed the good news that the TV Land series has been picked up for season 3.
RIP, Frenchie Beau.
