Whipping up something special! Kandi Burruss hosted a soft opening soiree for her restaurant, OLG (Old Lady Gang) 2, in Atlanta on Thursday, October 18.
A source exclusively tells Us Weekly that Burruss, 42, was joined by Real Housewives of Atlanta costars Cynthia Bailey, Shamari DeVoe, Eva Marcille and NeNe Leakes. Burruss was also supported by her daughter Riley, 16, and stepdaughter with husband Todd Tucker, Kaela, 22. Singer Cee Lo Green and rapper Yung Joc also supported Burruss at the event.
“Everyone really enjoyed the night. It was a great success for a soft opening,” the source tells Us, adding that guests enjoyed macaroni and cheese, grilled wings, stuff fried deviled eggs and collard greens during the bash.
Future diners can look forward to an exciting culinary experience, as “the menu is going to be mixed with soul food and family recipes,” the insider tells Us. “Kandi’s cousin is the main chef and all the dishes have been inspired by family.”
Burruss shared photos of the party via Instagram on Friday, October 19, including an opulent gold cake of the restaurant’s initials. “We’re officially opening next week! Thank you to everyone who came out to support,” she gushed. “I love all of y’all & your support means a lot especially when expanding a business.”
OLG 2, which marks Burruss’ third restaurant, will open on Wednesday, October 24, in honor of the Atlanta Hawks game season opener.
The first OLG restaurant opened its doors in March 2017. She opened another one at the State Farm Arena on Sunday, October 21, in honor of the So So Def 25th Anniversary Concert.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 11 premieres on Bravo Sunday, November 4, at 8 p.m. ET.
