Don’t mess with the Smiths.
Willow Smith, the daughter of Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith, made waves this week when actor Moises Arias posted a shirtless photo of himself lying in bed with Willow, 13. Arias, 20, is shown in the photo sitting behind the young singer as she reclines on the bed.
Pinkett-Smith was at Los Angeles International airport on Wednesday evening, May 7, and though she rarely speaks about her family’s private life, she commented on the controversial photo.
“Here’s the deal,” Pinkett-Smith told paparazzi as she arrived at LAX. “There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation.”
“You guys are projecting your trash onto it,” she continued to the photographers. “You’re acting like covert pedophiles and that’s not cool.”
Arias deleted the image from his Instagram account after outcry from some on social media that the situation was inappropriate.
