He’s a busy man! The Late Late Show host James Corden revealed in a new interview that Kanye West was scheduled to appear on his fan-favorite Carpool Karaoke segment twice — but the “Famous” rapper canceled both times.

“Kanye has been booked to do Carpool Karaoke now twice, and both times something came up,” the TV personality, 37, said in the September 2016 issue of British GQ. “He’ll do it eventually. He wants to do it.”

Corden noted that West, 39, felt bad for pulling out and sent him a gift to apologize. “[He sent] about three dozen white roses, of course,” the late-night comedian explained to the men’s magazine. “Arranged in the shape of a cube. What could be more Kanye than that?” (West also famously sent a similar floral arrangement to frenemy Taylor Swift after the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.)

As for the English actor’s dream Carpool Karaoke guest? “Beyoncé. It would break the Internet. She’s on tour right now. We’re working on it.”

Since Corden took over the Late Late Show from former host Craig Ferguson in March 2015, his Carpool Karaoke sketch has quickly become a viral hit.

During the unscripted segment — which has featured dozens of A-list guests, including Justin Bieber, Adele, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey and Michelle Obama — Corden drives around in his black Range Rover while singing along to some of the biggest songs in music with his celebrity pals.

Last month, Apple Music announced its plans to distribute a series based on Carpool Karaoke to its members in 100 countries worldwide. Corden will serve as an executive producer on the series, but will not host.
