Jenelle Evans Slams MTV Again After ‘Teen Mom 2’ Finale: ‘Rethinking Ever Letting My Life Be Filmed Again’

Not again! Jenelle Evans took to Twitter after the Teen Mom 2 season 7 finale on Monday, June 6, to share more frustration over MTV’s editing of her story on the show.

“Not watching again. Highly disappointed and only caught a glimpse for 5 secs,” the North Carolina resident, 24, wrote to her 1.23 million followers on Monday night. “Rethinking ever letting my life be filmed again.”

On this season’s final episode, Jenelle and her mother, Barbara Evans, got into a heated debate over custody of the 16 & Pregnant alum’s 6-year-old son, Jace. Jenelle, who is also mom of 23-month-old son Kaiser (with ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith), signed over custody of Jace to Barbara in 2010.

Despite her attempts to regain custody of her eldest son in recent years, the reality starlet feels as though MTV is making a concerted effort to portray her as an unfit parent.

On Tuesday, May 31, the young mom of two slammed the network for only showing negative parts of her life. “I’m pretty convinced @MTV constantly wants to make me look like the most horrible mother ever,” Jenelle lamented. “Doesn’t show a damn positive thing for my story.”

As Teen Mom 2 fans will recall, Jenelle’s tumultuous past (including drug addiction, unhealthy relationships, multiple arrests, etc.) has been captured by MTV cameras since the show debuted in 2011.

Considering the personal strides she’s made, the TV personality is upset that her improvements have not been highlighted for viewers. “And this season and this upcoming ones were suppose to be really nice and smooth towards the end but of course if @MTV hires a director that judges you, hates you, and wants to make you look out to be bad… They will do it,” she continued on May 31. “They hold all power in the edit room.”

“You would think they would have shown by now how I’ve been trying to get Jace back for over a year, or how many great times we’ve had,” she added before threatening to leave the show to star in a self-funded project: “I should start my own show where you guys see no negativity but just positive vibes. #NextProject #YouTubeSeries #GoPro.”

Jenelle’s latest criticism of MTV marks the third time this year she has taken issue with Teen Mom 2’s editing. Back in March, she claimed producers forced her to record a misleading voiceover, which caused viewers to believe that she purposely disallowed her former beau Griffith from seeing their child.

Teen Mom 2 airs on MTV Mondays at 10 p.m. ET.
