Jenni “JWoww” Farley is counting her blessings. In a revealing new blog entry, the former Jersey Shore star has opened up about when she first learned she and her fiance Roger Mathews were expecting their first child — and how she briefly feared she had miscarried.
“I took a pregnancy test and had a faint line. I was totally confused so I showed Roger and made him buy two more tests,” Farley revealed on her personal blog on Tuesday, Jan. 7. “Both times I got faint lines but they were barely visible so I still wasn’t sure. I looked up everything online and swore I was pregnant but Roger was still skeptical.”
At the time, the Jersey native was gearing up to travel to Nashville for a tanning convention, where she was to promote her tanning products. But when she met BFF Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi at the airport, panic set in. “I went to the bathroom, I saw blood and panicked. So many thoughts were running through my head. I felt a loss like no other when I thought that I was no longer pregnant.” She continued: “I whispered it to Roger and for that whole ride we just stared straight ahead and didn’t say a word. I went to bed that night in Nashville praying it was just a thing that happens.”
And luckily, it was just a thing. The following day, Farley asked her manager to buy a “stupid proof test” again — and the rest was baby history. “It said pregnant and [Nicole] cried and I cried and Roger looked like he was going to pass out!” she exclaimed. “That day in Nashville I was on cloud nine.”
Farley, 27, announced on Christmas Day that she and Mathews were expecting their first child together. “We couldn’t have wished for a better gift this Christmas! Happy Holidays from our growing family to yours! Love, Jenni, Roger and arriving July, 2014 Baby Mathews,” the reality star retweeted from MTV News, along with a photograph of the first sonogram.
She added: “We wanted to share this exciting news with you all first because you have been a part of our lives these past few years and seen the love between Roger and me develop and blossom.”
