She’s good, thanks! Actresses often tread their perfectly manicured fingernails across E! News‘ red carpet mani cam every award show… but not Jennifer Aniston! The Cake actress shot down Maria Menounos when asked to show off her glam look and rings while attending the 2015 SAG Awards at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, Jan. 25.
Her response? “No, no, no,” the Friends alum, 45, quickly replied — with a GIF-worthy reaction! (She donned Fred Leighton jewels and credited “Cabo San Lucas” for her tan!)
Still Alice’s Julianne Moore and Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany also refused to. “Oh, I’m not doing that,” Moore said. Lisa Rinna got a kick out of the awkward moments, and kept track on Twitter. “Bless you @tatianamaslany. You are my hero,” she tweeted. “#resfusedthemanicam #SagAward #ERedCarpet.”
Clad in a cleavage-baring gold vintage Galliano dress, Aniston did, however, discuss her drama Cake. “For me it was quite refreshing, I felt like I went back to class and had that excitement of exploring a character and disappearing, not even expecting anything would come out of it like it has. We’re all kind of so stunned. We had a ball,” she said.
As for not having to workout for the role? “At first I was thrilled,” she said, “but then after a few weeks it really starts to affect the way you sleep, your stamina throughout the day, and your mood.”
Aniston was shockingly overlooked for an Oscar nomination, but has had fun during awards season nonetheless. Earlier this month, she made headlines when she grabbed Kate Hudson’s tush on the Critics’ Choice Awards red carpet.
“I should have known better. Poor thing!” she said of Hudson to Menounos. “It was irresistible!”
Aniston is nominated in the Outstanding Performance By a Female Actor in a Leading Role category at the SAG Awards for her work in Cake.
