Lonely Lawrence. Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence may be one of the biggest A-listers in Hollywood, but even she has trouble finding a date. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 star opened up to Vogue magazine about being single, and how she usually stays in on the weekends.
“No one ever asks me out. I am lonely every Saturday night. Guys are so mean to me,” Lawrence, 25, said. “I know where it’s coming from, I know they’re trying to establish dominance, but it hurts my feelings. I’m just a girl who wants you to be nice to me. I am straight as an arrow.”
As previously reported, Forbes named Lawrence as the highest-paid actress in 2015 for raking in over $52 million last year. But despite her successful career, she admitted that others make her “insecure.”
“It’s strangely exhilarating because you keep trying to fight for that validation. You want to have [validation] before you get married, so that you don’t seek it out once you are,” she explained to the mag. “I feel like I need to meet a guy, with all due respect, who has been living in Baghdad for five years who has no idea who I am.”
Lawrence may be single now, but she has had high-profile romances in the past. The Joy star dated her X-Men costar Nicholas Hoult on and off for three years until August 2014, and more recently romanced Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. (Us Weekly broke the news this past July that the pair ended their relationship after nearly a year of dating. Nevertheless, Lawrence still hopes to settle down one day.
“I can’t wait to be married,” she told Vogue. “I feel like if I find that one person who I want to spend the rest of my life with, who I want to be the father of my children, that I would absolutely not f–k it up.”
She added: “But I’m also not banking on that.”
