Jill Blackstone, a producer who worked on shows including Jerry Springer and The Rosie O’Donnell Show, was arrested on Saturday, March 14, after her sister Wendy Blackstone was found dead in her garage, multiple news outlets reported.
According to TMZ, the producer called the cops on Saturday and said she had found her sister, 49, and three dogs dead in her San Fernando Valley home. Blackstone reported the death as a suicide, but authorities told the site that the suicide note looked suspicious. Per TMZ, there were no signs of trauma on Wendy’s body.
Jill was originally held on $1 million bail but was released on Wednesday, March 18. The Los Angeles Police Department told the New York Daily News that her arrest was for a “murder investigation” but no charges were made and “the investigation is still ongoing.”
