Just sayin’. Joe Jonas came clean on Saturday, October 15, explaining why he called out ex-girlfriend Ashley Greene during a recent much talked-about Reddit AMA that discussed his sex life.
“I don’t know. I think life’s too short, you know?” the 27-year-old singer told Entertainment Tonight at the TIDAL X: 1015 concert in Brooklyn. “I mean, ultimately, I think of myself as an honest guy. There are just those moments in life where you have to be true to yourself and true to the world.”
“I’m not out to hurt anybody, but I think, ultimately, I’m just telling my stories and what I can say from my heart,” he added.
Last week, the former boy bander stunned fans when he told a revealing story about how he lost his virginity to Greene, 29.
“I lost my virginity to this girl named Ashley,” he replied candidly when a fan asked about how he lost his V-card. “You can probably just Google it. It’s pretty easy to figure out. I dated a girl named Ashley, so just Google it to figure out which Ashley that is.”
“It’s quite the great story because I didn’t have any condoms, so I went to our drummer Jack’s room, who was my roommate at the time, and I demolished his room looking for them,” he continued. “Found them underneath his underwear drawer. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished because I was in dire need. Needed to happen then and now. Safety first, kids.”
During the Reddit AMA, Jonas also bragged about his penis size (“I’d like the internet to believe that I’m still killing’ it”) and talked about younger brother Nick’s reportedly large nipples (“Nick’s nipples are not as big as they may appear.”)
Greene shared a cryptic quote to Instagram one day later, letting it stand in for her own words.
“Class is timeless,” the image reads. And though the Twilight alum didn’t mention the DNCE frontman by name, the timing of her post seemed pointedly directed at her ex.
Greene and Jonas parted ways in March 2011 after dating for just under a year.
