Jon Hamm is on the mend. The Mad Men actor opened up for the first time to Australia's TV Week on Wednesday, March 25, just one day after news broke he spent 30 days in rehab for alcohol abuse.
"Life throws a lot at you sometimes, and you have to deal with it as much as you can," the 44-year-old star told the mag. "I've been very fortunate that throughout the most recent 24-hour period, I've had a lot of family and friends support me."
As previously reported, Hamm discreetly underwent treatment for alcohol abuse at nationally recognized psychiatric Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut.
"With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction," his rep told Us Weekly in a statement. "They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward."
