Joseph Gordon-Levitt Has Girlfriend, Unsure About Marriage Commitment

Joseph Gordon-Levitt may have a girlfriend, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's husband material. During a Tuesday, Sept. 24 interview on SiriusXM's Howard Stern Show, the 32-year-old Don Jon actor revealed that he's in a relationship with someone who is "not in show business," but is unsure if marriage is in his future.

After Stern said Gordon-Levitt is "quick to run" in his relationships, the Hollywood heartthrob said, "I think I'm a pretty good person and a good boyfriend. Yeah, I just wouldn't want to be with someone who was disrespectful to me."

But when asked if he could be in a faithful marriage, Gordon-Levitt was a little unsure. "I think that I could partner up with somebody — I don't know who that somebody is — I could partner up with a woman and commit to we're going to raise a family and that's a project we're going to commit to for 20-something years," he said. But when asked if he could stay sexually monogamous during that time, Gordon-Levitt explained, "I like to not be too committed to any one future that's really far away, necessarily, unless there's a reason, which is why I'm saying if you're gonna raise a family . . . I can make that commitment."

Gordon-Levitt has long kept his love life private. In an interview with Out this month, the actor shrugged off rumors that he is gay. "That would be really tacky —- they would win if I had to clarify," he told the magazine. Not only did Stern get Gordon-Levitt to confess that he's in a relationship, the radio host also got him to open up about his steamy sex scenes with Don Jon costar Scarlett Johansson.

"But, it's not a cliche, you do need to be turned on by your leading lady," Stern said.

"And of course I was turned on by her," the actor confessed.

"I'm not trying to be shocking here, but . . . you don't get an arousal when you're working with her?" the radio host asked.

"Of course!" Gordon-Levitt said, but added that it's "not exactly an erotic situation" when you have a crew around you. "I don't think I didn't get an erection," he said. "I can't confirm whether I did or did not."

And he didn't need to have a discussion with his costar about it either. "We don't need to talk about," he said, "but it's not like she didn't know."
