This is a total teenage dream! After sitting through the 2016 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 10, Katy Perry — who presented the award for Best Original Song — and Orlando Bloom loosened up at Harvey Weinstein‘s afterparty and were superflirty.
Perry, 31, and Bloom, 38, were snapped chatting up a storm at the Fiji Water–sponsored bash held at the Beverly Hilton, where the Globes was also held. Observers inside the bash tell Us Weekly that the two were “extremely flirty and whispering to each other” as they stood in Weinstein’s section.
Photos from the VIP area, where Heidi Klum, America Ferrera and others also celebrated, showed the stars laughing and getting chummy with each other. The Pirates of the Caribbean hunk was snapped leaning in extra close to Perry as she laughed in response. In another, he whispered conspiratorially into Perry’s ear.
Indeed, the insiders tell Us that the body language and chemistry was palpable. “He would lean in to whisper into her ear and touch the small of her back as they chatted,” the observer tells Us, adding that the handsome actor took the songstress’ phone at one point. Perry, after all, looked irresistible on Sunday night in a formfitting rose-pink satin column gown by Prada.
“Katy was showing Orlando her phone,” the observer says. “They were both smiling and laughing and then he took her phone and started typing on it.”
Thirty minutes into the bash, Perry and her entourage decided to bounce for another star-studded afterparty. “Katy and her handlers all walked out first, and Orlando followed,” the insiders tell Us. Their exit turned into a reunion with Andy Samberg, Jonah Hill, Carrie Brownstein, Gaby Hoffmann, Jay Duplass and others all seated at one table.
“Katy stopped to say hi to Jonah, Gaby and Carrie,” the observer says, “and Orlando joined her by her side. At one point, while she was chatting with everyone, she put her arm around Orlando and adoringly put her hand on the back of his head. They left together shortly after.”
This isn’t Perry and Bloom’s first interaction. Back in April 2013, the two attended a benefit where they again chatted it up and were joined by Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams. At the time, both were entwined with other stars. Perry was in a relationship with on-again, off-again boyfriend John Mayer, while Bloom was still married to supermodel Miranda Kerr, who he split from in late 2013.
Both stars are currently unattached.
