Kelly Clarkson had a hard time following the birth of her daughter River Rose in June 2014 -- find out what happened that made her fear her career was over!

Our lives would suck without her! Kelly Clarkson had a hard time following the birth of her daughter River Rose last year — so much so, that she thought her singing days were completely over. After welcoming her baby girl, the season one American Idol winner temporarily lost her raspy, pop-rock voice.

"Afterwards was the part where I literally had a moment where I cried and drank wine all day," Clarkson, 32, recently said during an interview with ET Canada. "I was like, 'Oh, God, I'm not going to be a singer anymore!'"

"I was bawling to my husband and completely hammered, just going, 'Oh, my God, it's over,'" she continued. "'I don't know what I'm going to do.'"

Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock wed in October 2013 and welcomed River in June 2014. New moms sometimes experience hoarseness, but, luckily, Clarkson's powerhouse voice eventually returned.

But if it didn't? "I guess I could do more charity work," she said at the time. "I didn't know what I was going to do."

Clarkson's actual pregnancy wasn't smooth sailing either. Earlier this month, she revealed she was hospitalized at one point. "It was just kind of a bad pregnancy," she said on BBC's Radio 1 Breakfast Show on Jan. 12, "so I had to take off way more time than normal."
