Khloe Kardashian: James Harden Has Been “Supportive” Amid Lamar Odom’s Health Crisis

He’s in her corner. Khloe Kardashian’s boyfriend, James Harden, has been more than supportive amid Lamar Odom’s health crisis and hospitalization. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star opened up about her relationship with the basketball star during a candid interview with Ryan Seacrest on Monday, Nov. 16.

“James has been great. He’s been very supportive with everything. I’m sure there was, of course, times that he was uncomfortable with some of the things, but I’m a very honest person and I have nothing to hide,” Kardashian, 31, said during On Air with Ryan Seacrest. “I was very open with how I feel like I had to handle everything with Lamar, and I really, really appreciate how supportive James has been and it wasn’t another layer of stress on me. He’s been great and I’ve been open and honest.”

Kardashian — still legally married to Odom, 36 — has been handling Odom’s medical decisions since he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on Oct. 13. She has stayed with him at Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A., but has continued to romance Harden, 26. The situation, Kardashian admits, was initially a bit “weird” for everyone to process.

“I’ve never been in [this position] before, and I hope no one ever is in [that position],” Kardashian said. “I’m really just trying to make everyone happy and comfortable at the same time.”

As previously reported, Kardashian and Odom dismissed their divorce case last month. The reality TV star filed legal documents in December 2013 after four years of marriage, but is delaying making it official while the former NBA pro recovers.

“When I first filed for divorce it was one too many times of Lamar not following through with rehab or interventions and everyone kept saying to me, ‘You have to use the divorce card, and that’s what will get him to make a decision.’ So, I did that and when it didn’t work I went, ‘Okay, I don’t know if I don’t really want that divorce,'” Kardashian explained to Seacrest.

She continued: “At first it was really hard for me to just let it go so I just kind of let it linger, hoping and still thinking — we would plan therapy appointments or just meetings. He would never follow through with them. And that broke my heart, but I was still hopeful for a long time.”
