Khloé Kardashian had two memorable encounters while celebrating a friend’s birthday.
“The first person I run into is French [Montana]. I was like, ‘Hi.’ He was like, ‘What are you doing?’ I was like, ‘What are you doing here?’” Kardashian, 41, said on the Wednesday, May 20, episode of her “Khloé in Wonder Land” podcast. “But, so nice. We’re fine. Said hi to French, but for, like, a second. Barely saw him. I saw so many people that I haven’t seen in so long. And then Tristan [Thompson] was there.”
She continued, “You’re just like, ‘Where am I?’ You think you miss so much by not going to these things. You’re like, ‘Oh, I haven’t been out literally in months. I haven’t gone to a party like that.’ It wasn’t a club; I think it was a restaurant, but he made it a club setting. And then you go out and you’re like, ‘I’m not missing a thing.’ We had so much fun, but doing what? I was sitting in a booth talking the whole time.”
Kardashian dated Montana, 41, on and off in 2013 and 2014. After the pair split for the second time, Kardashian shared that she wasn’t ready for another relationship after her marriage to Lamar Odom. (Kardashian and Odom, now 46, tied the knot in 2009 before splitting in 2013. Kardashian put their 2015 divorce on hold after Odom’s overdose at a brothel before filing for divorce for the second time the next year.)
“I jumped into something because I was just, like, lonely and destructive,” she said during an episode of Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons about Montana. “But now I’m like, I just want to be alone.”
Years later, Kardashian was introduced to Thompson, now 35, in 2016. The next year, Us Weekly broke the news that Kardashian and Thompson were expecting their first child together.
Days before Kardashian’s due date, Thompson was caught cheating with multiple women. Kardashian gave birth to daughter True in 2018. The pair initially stayed together but split when he kissed her sister Kylie Jenner’s BFF Jordyn Woods the following year.
In 2020, Us confirmed that Kardashian and Thompson were back together. Less than one year later, the pair split again before briefly reconciling in late 2021. Us later confirmed Thompson and Kardashian’s surrogate was pregnant with their second baby at the time. The pair added son Tatum to their family in 2022.
“Tristan and I, we always get along great. Him and I have a great friendship relationship. We get along fine, and for my kids, I will put anything to the side. What’s done is done, so why would I be still holding on to [past drama] for?” Khloé said on The Kardashians in June 2023. “I don’t need to punish him because I am not getting back together with him.”
