Never forget. Kim Kardashian, Hillary Clinton, Lady Gaga and more stars remembered those killed on 9/11, paying tribute via social media on Sunday, September 11, 15 years after the terrorist attacks.
“15 years ago today I remember my dad calling me waking me up to tell me not to come into the office & told me what happened in NYC,” the 35-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star captioned a stunning image of the Manhattan skyline sans the Twin Towers. “We then had a family meeting at my moms & prayed. Life is so precious & I pray for everyone who was affected by this awful tragedy. #NeverForget911.”
New York native Lady Gaga also offered up her thoughts and prayers on Sunday with a solemn tweet: “God Bless all the men and women who died in the attacks or fight to save lives during the Sept. 11 attacks #WeWillNeverForget #NewYorker.”
Shannen Doherty, who stepped out on the red carpet for a Stand Up to Cancer event Friday, shared her own reflections. “15 years later and I remember every emotion of that day,” she wrote. “Do you? #NeverForget #9/11.”
Democratic presidential nominee Clinton, meanwhile, shared a tweet paying tribute to those who lost their lives that historic day. “We’ll never forget the horror of September 11, 2001. Today, let’s honor the lives and tremendous spirit of the victims and responders. –H.”
