Kim Kardashian‘s close friend and stylist Simone Harouche was in the reality star’s Paris apartment during the terrifying robbery early Monday, October 3, a source tells Us Weekly.
According to the insider, Harouche was “in her room sleeping” when she heard noises somewhere inside the private residence at Hôtel de Pourtalès and called Kardashian’s longtime bodyguard Pascal Duvier.
“She did not know that anything had happened to Kim yet,” the source adds. “[Kim’s] phone call to Kourtney [Kardashian] was the one that triggered everyone rushing to Kim’s side.”
As Us Weekly previously reported, Kardashian, 35, was robbed at gunpoint in the wee hours of Monday morning while staying at the luxury penthouse for Paris Fashion Week. She was tied up, gagged and carried to the bathroom as a group of five men posing as policemen stole more than $10 million worth of jewelry.
“She thought there was going to be a sexual assault or that she was going to be killed in the bathroom,” a source told Us. “Kim was hysterically crying, begging for her life, telling them about her babies.”
Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, was notified of the horrifying incident in the middle of his performance at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival in Queens, New York, prompting him to cancel his set early due to a “family emergency.” (He has since rescheduled two more tour dates.)
Hours after the attack, Kardashian boarded a private jet and reunited with West, 39, at New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport before heading to their downtown NYC apartment.
The couple’s children, daughter North, 3, and son Saint, 9 months, were safe in New York during the robbery. Us reported that North saw Matilda the Musical on Broadway with a nanny, a bodyguard and two other children Sunday, October 2.
The assailants, who escaped on bicycles, are still at large.
