Family first. Kanye West is rescheduling two of his tour dates after wife Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint while staying at their Paris apartment in the early morning of Monday, October 3.
“Due to family concerns, this week’s Philadelphia and Detroit dates on the Saint Pablo tour have been rescheduled,” Live Nation said in a statement Monday night. The concert promotions company added that the two shows will now take place on December 13 and December 22, respectively, and that the tour would resume as scheduled on Friday, October 7.
West, 39 — who is currently promoting his eighth studio album, The Life of Pablo — abruptly cut his set short at the Meadows Music & Arts Festival on Sunday, October 2, after learning of the incident.
“I’m sorry, I have a family emergency. I have to stop the show,” the Grammy winner told the crowd seconds into his 2008 hit “Heartless.”
As Us Weekly previously reported, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 35, was bound and gagged by five intruders dressed as police officers. The burglars stole jewelry worth an estimated $10 million before escaping on bicycles, according to a Paris police official. Two iPhones were also reportedly taken.
The Selfish author — who previously felt safe at the couple’s Paris home — “thought she was going to be raped and murdered” during the terrifying incident, an insider told Us.
After giving law enforcement her statement, Kardashian left Paris to return to NYC, where she was met by her husband and escorted to their apartment by a 15-car motorcade.
The reality personality is “badly shaken, but physically unharmed,” her rep told Us in a statement.
