Lance Bass and his fiancé Michael Turchin officially know how to party. The engaged couple celebrated their final days of being single before tying the knot with a Mardi Gras-themed bachelor party at West Hollywood’s gay club The Abbey on Tuesday, Dec. 9, and Us Weekly has an exclusive look inside the wild night!
According to a guest, the fete was actually a surprise to the couple, who are set to say “I do” on Dec. 20. The former ‘N Sync member’s BFFs Bob Merrick, Lisa Foxx, and Wendy Svehlak threw the bash for the duo, which featured (naturally) a penis-shaped red velvet cake from Jamaica’s Cakes that had “two penises curved into the shape of a heart.” Foxx tells Us the cake, made partly from rice krispie treat, was so “big” that Jamaica “had to build it at The Abbey.”
The Mardi Gras-themed party, in honor of their New Orleans engagement, was “decked out in Southern Comfort memorabilia” and the 60 invited guests enjoyed “Southern Comfort cocktails,” the insider adds.
Adding to the fun, were strippers and a bachelor party-approved game of Pin the Tail on The Donkey, which instead, was dubbed “‘Pin the Penis on the Pop Star’ and had a picture of Lance’s face on a stripper man body,” the partygoer tells Us.
Bass, who gave a toast, said “he was truly shocked and it was only the second time in his life he had been surprised.”
Joey Fatone, Alan Thicke and his wife Tanya, Cheri Oteri, AJ McLean and his wife Rochelle, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Ryan Cabrera, and Fortune Feimster helped the couple celebrate the evening.
The fun night was filmed by E! cameras for a 90 minute special airing on E! Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT — check your local listings.
