Lisa Marie Presley is seeking treatment for her addiction to prescription pills and has entered a rehab program, Us Weekly can confirm.
According to multiple reports, Elvis Presley’s daughter is seeking treatment at the exclusive, luxurious Hills Treatment Center in Los Angeles, which costs $400,000 a month.
Presley has previously been open about battling addiction to drugs and alcohol in her teenage years. “[I used] cocaine, sedatives, pot and drinking — all at the same time. I just couldn’t be sober,” she told Paper Magazine in 2003. "I don’t know how I lived through it." She credited Scientology for her recovery at the time.
Recently, she’s been struggling with painkillers. “She’s doing OK but needed to get this under control,” a source told Us.
It’s likely been a tough few months for the 48-year-old singer. Presley recently filed for divorce from her husband of more than 10 years, Michael Lockwood, citing irreconcilable differences. The date of separation was listed as June 13.
She is requesting full custody of the couple’s 7-year-old twin daughters, Finley and Harper, and asking for Lockwood to receive monitored visitation, per TMZ. The pair already have a postnuptial agreement to divide their assets, according to TMZ.
The couple married in January 2006 in a traditional ceremony in Japan.
Presley is also mom of Riley Keough, 27, and Benjamin Keough, 23, from her previous marriage to Danny Keough.
