MAGA influencer and staunch supporter of President Donald Trump Melissa Rein Lively has been charged for her alleged role in an attack authorities say was racially motivated.
“The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorized British Transport Police (BTP) detectives to charge two people in relation to an incident at Bond Street Underground station last year,” BTP authorities revealed in a Friday, May 15, press release.
“Philipp Ostermann, aged 37, and a German national, has been charged with two Racially Aggravated Public Order offenses and a further Public Order offense,” the press release continued. “Melissa Rein Lively, aged 40, and a U.S. national, has been charged with one count of Assault by Beating.”
According to authorities, the pair’s first hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court. All charges are in connection to an allegedly racially-motivated attack that occurred on October 11, 2025, at the Bond Street Underground station in London, England.
According to a Friday report from the BBC, an unidentified woman reported to BTP authorities that she was “racially abused” by a woman and her boyfriend as she entered the station with her sister and two young children. According to the woman, the man allegedly shouted racist terms at the woman while Lively pulled her hair.

“The man then began shouting racial abuse at the victim and her family, before the woman grabbed her hair,” police claim, per The New York Post. Pepper spray was also reportedly used during the alleged incident and in the presence of children.
“When the victim tried to defend herself, the man pulled out a small bottle and said it was pepper spray before spraying it in the direction of the victim and her family,” police also claimed, per The New York Post. “The woman shouted abuse and made lewd gestures at them before both parties left the area.”
The entire alleged incident is reportedly the result of the unidentified woman’s stroller colliding with Ostermann, a German financier, and Lively.
Lively, a PR executive, founder and CEO of the so-called “anti-woke” PR firm America First Public Relations, has not publicly addressed the charges or allegations at the time of publication.
Us Weekly has reached out to her for comment. At the time of publication it is unclear if either party has secured legal representation to speak for them on their behalf.
On TikTok, Lively describes herself as the “founder of America’s #1 anti-woke PR firm.” According to both the Economic Times and Politico, Lively has even launched a big to become the next White House Press Secretary — a role currently held by Karoline Leavitt, who is on maternity leave after welcoming her second baby, a girl, with her husband, Nicholas Riccio, who is 32-years her senior.
