Martha Stewart set out on a mission to identify Jonathan Cheban, former publicist and Kim Kardashian’s BFF, on Wednesday, June 22, and led her followers on a fantastic journey.
The lifestyle expert, 74, appeared to be seated next to Cheban, 42, at Daily Mail’s Seriously Popular bash in Cannes, France, when she enlisted the help of Twitter to ID her seatmate.

After her followers informed her who Cheban is — while freaking out over whether Stewart was throwing shade or not — she tweeted out another snap of the reality personality with the caption: “Better photo of Jonathan who is very famous bff of the Kardashians. Who knew!”

The two then apparently hit it off.
“Fun dinner with the best!! @MarthaStewart she’s been keeping me laughing for hours!” Cheban shared on Twitter, along with a snap of the businesswoman.
Although a majority of the internet thought Stewart was throwing shade, she told Mail Online that she genuinely didn’t know who he was.
“I had no idea who Jonathan was because I don’t watch [Keeping Up With the] Kardashians,” Stewart explained. “I mean, I know who the Kardashians are, I’m a great admirer. [But] I never knew who he was, so I got to know him!”
