Starting fresh. Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton have divided their property, quickly finalized their divorce, and, well, also made it Twitter official, too. The now exes took down photos of each other on their personal social accounts just one day after announcing their split.
The “Little Red Wagon” singer, 31, previously had a red carpet photo of the pair as her Twitter default. Now, it’s promoting her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Unplugged tour. She’s set to next perform in Nashville on Tuesday, July 28.
Shelton’s change, meanwhile, is a little more noticeable. His background cover, which once featured Lambert’s solo January 2015 Marie Claire cover, is now a shot of him performing on stage under twinkling lights.
Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, July 20, that Lambert and the Voice mentor, 39, are going their separate ways after four years of marriage.
“This is not the future we envisioned,” their representatives told Us in a statement. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
Lambert and Shelton tied the knot in May 2011 after five years of dating. They made their last public appearance together at the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards in Arlington, Tx., on April 19. (In 2011, Shelton admitted to Entertainment Weekly that he fell for Lambert while he was still married to his first wife, Kaynette Gern.)
“Blake’s really broken up over this. Just devastated,” an insider reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. A second adds of Lambert: “She’s very heartbroken, sad, and confused.”
