Lawyers in the Bobbi Kristina Brown lawsuit against Nick Gordon have hit a roadblock. On Sunday, July 12, Gordon was photographed being served with papers outside of a Starbucks in Florida.
In the video from the New York Daily News, Gordon appeared surprised upon receiving the papers and promptly set them down and got on the phone.
A source tells Us Weekly that “Nick’s lawyer has advised him not to open the papers because people are not allowed to be served papers on a Sunday in Florida.”
Gordon’s legal team is planning a countersuit against the lawyers who served him.
The lawsuit was filed by Brown’s conservator Bedelia Hargrove on June 24, hours after her family announced that the 22-year-old was being placed in hospice care.
The complaint, which was obtained by Us Weekly, accuses Gordon of dragging his girlfriend upstairs by her hair, withdrawing her funds without authorization, and knocking out her teeth just hours before she was discovered unconscious and face down in her bathtub on Jan. 31.
