Turns out, Iggy Azalea isn't always "so fancy." On the contrary, in fact — at least according to boyfriend Nick Young. The NBA star, 29, said even he was surprised at how normal she is, given the swagger she has in her music.
"From her songs, I thought she'd be all about going to clubs and partying, but it's the opposite of that," Young told DuJour magazine of his Aussie girlfriend. "She wakes up early every morning to take care of her dogs, and she cooks for me. From her rapping, I was very surprised that she could do all that. She's a really cool, down-to-earth person."
Even her TV preferences are unpretentious. "We fight over the TV remote because she watches TLC and the Weather Channel all night," the Lakers guard shared. "We argue all the time, but we get it worked out. We understand each other."
Young first revealed his crush on the "Black Widow" rapper in October 2013. One year later, they're living together and making plans for the future.
"It's come up a couple times," the athlete told DuJour of marriage, adding that he "always wanted to be married and have a family" when he was growing up.
For the moment, though, he's happy just co-habitating. "Me and Iggy just bought a house," he said. "We've been getting really close lately. I've never been with somebody like this. So, I'm taking it as a challenge."
