Why did Ramona Singer skip it?
"It was planned very last minute, and I already made plans to have a three-day vacation with my husband," she told UsMagazine.com Monday at the Housing Works VIP Gala in NYC. "And guess what? I'd rather have a three-day vacation with my husband, like a second honeymoon, than go to her shower."
Asked what she and husband Mario did during their getaway in New York's Sag Harbor, she coyly replied, "What do you think?" She then winked and added: "A lot of that!"
Singer said her relationship with her husband is similar to the one Frankel has with her fiance, entrepreneur Jason Hoppy.
"I find that Bethenny is a lot like me," Singer told Us. "When I was her age, I was very driven, and [Hoppy] is very accepting of her for who she is. That's how Mario is too — very supportive of me, very nonjudgmental, proud, and not threatened. It takes a really healthy man not to be threatened by another woman's success. A lot of men want to marry women who are: 'Yes, dear.' And they get bored pretty soon and start cheating. You marry someone who's more your equal and it's more of a challenge."
This season, Singer gets in heated feuds with most of the other Housewives.
"I'm making no apologies," she said of her on-camera antics. "I am who I am, and I'm really happy with who I am. I really think I have it all. I never believed I would have it all. And guess what? I do!"
