President Donald Trump revealed if he’ll be at his son’s wedding this weekend.
While answering reporters’ questions on Thursday, May 21, the president, 79, was asked if he’s planning to attend Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson’s wedding, which is rumored to be this weekend.
“He’d like me to go,” he replied. “It’s gonna be just a small, little private affair and I’m gonna try and make it,” he explained. “I said, ‘You know, this is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things.”
He continued, “That’s one I can’t win on. If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed by the fake news, of course, I’m talking about.”
He added that he’s known Don Jr.’s fiancé for “a long time” and wished them “a great marriage.”
Don Jr., 48 age, and Anderson, 39, announced their engagement in December 2025 at a White House holiday event.

“I’m not usually at a loss for words, because I’m usually doing the ranting and raving really well,” Don Jr. said during an introduction. “I want to thank Bettina for that one word: ‘Yes.’”
Anderson also gushed about their engagement, sharing, “This has been the most unforgettable weekend. I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you.”
Donald shares Don Jr., Ivanka, 44, and Eric, 42 with Ivana Trump, who he was married to from 1977 to 1990. He then moved on with Marla Maples, whom he welcomed Tiffany, 32, with. He and Maples, 62, tied the knot in 1993 and finalized their divorce in 1999.
Donald is also the dad of Barron, 20, whom he shares with Melania Trump. He and Melania, 56, got married in 2005.
Don Jr. and Anderson started dating in 2024. They made their public debut as a couple in January 2025, while attending the presidential inauguration in Washington D.C.
They are reportedly rumored to tie the know over Memorial Day Weekend on a private island in the Bahamas.
Don Jr. was previously married to Vanessa Trump from 2005 through 2018. Throughout their relationship, they welcomed five kids together, including Kai, 19, Donald III, 17, Tristan, 14, Spencer, 13, and Chloe, 11.
Vanessa, for her part, found love with Tiger Woods following her split with Don Jr. On Wednesday, May 20, 48-year-old revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
