Pretty Little Liars star Keegan Allen claimed he was beaten and robbed at gunpoint in Los Angeles, sharing graphic footage of his injuries.
“These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife and then took off,” Allen, 37, said via Instagram on Thursday, October 8, showing a glimpse of his bloody face after being ambushed.
Allen said two masked men threatened to kill him before taking his watch outside of a Laurel Supply grocery store, adding, “They had masks on and took my watch. They took my watch. Dammit.”
In security footage of the robbery, two men could be seen approaching Allen as he is putting items into his car at the parking lot. One of the assailants hit Allen in the head multiple times with a gun while the other held him at knifepoint.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department addressed the incident in a statement to Us on Friday, October 9.
“On October 08, 2026, at approximately 9:05 PM, deputies responded to the 8400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard in the City of West Hollywood regarding a robbery call for service,” the statement noted. “Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult, who stated he was approached by two male adults dressed in black clothing. One suspect pointed a silver handgun at the victim while the other pointed a knife and demanded the victim’s watch and bracelet.”
The authorities continued: “Shortly after, the victim was struck in the face with the handgun. The suspects obtained the victim’s watch and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. The victim sustained a laceration to his forehead. Los Angeles County Fire responded to the location and medically evaluated the victim; however, he was not transported to hospital.”
Allen noted in various Instagram comments that he received medical attention, claiming he likely suffered a concussion from the incident. The actor went on to allege his experience proved “West Hollywood is not safe anymore.”
“Robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two young men that threatened to KILL me over my watch and would have! God said no tonight,” he continued. “My life for a watch.”
Allen further addressed Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom’s attempts to prevent crime in the city.
“Will update more soon. Let’s hope all these flock cameras that @karenbassla @gavinnewsom and everyone thinks will stop crime can find these very dangerous criminals,” he wrote. “God bless.”
Allen received an outpouring of support in the comments section from both fans and fellow actors.
“My god Keegan. I’m so sorry this happened to you. We could never lose you,” read one response, while another user noted, “This is a true wake up call. I’m so glad you’re alive. Please get yourself checked out.”
Allen’s Walker costar Colin Ford wrote, “F*** dude I’m so glad you’re alive brother. Hit me up if you need anything.”
Allen is best known for playing Toby Cavanaugh on Freeform’s hit show Pretty Little Liars, which ran from 2010 to 2017. He has since continued to act while also branching out into photography and music.
