Josh Taekman‘s no cheater! That’s what Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer insisted when questioned about her pal’s recent Ashley Madison account scandal.
Standing up for Josh, Singer also revealed that he and wife Kristen Taekman recently renewed their wedding vows, and insists the couple have never looked more in love.
As Us Weekly recently reported on Tuesday, Aug. 25, Taekman admitted to signing up for an account on the infidelity website, but insisted his actions had been part of a prank with friends.
“I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family,” he told Us. “We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives.”
Talking to ET later in the day, Singer made it clear that, in her opinion, Josh and Kristen are as strong as ever. “I don’t believe Josh has ever cheated on Kristen,” she told the outlet. “I see them as a really loving couple. Every couple has problems — I don’t care who you are. And I think through the show they actually worked through a lot of their problems,” she added.
Singer went on to recount the pair’s uber-romantic wedding anniversary, which saw the couple renew their vows with Kristen even wearing her original wedding dress for the occasion.
“They cut the scene out, but they did the most gorgeous scene at Tavern on the Green, where they celebrated their wedding anniversary and she actually put on — and I get the chills — her wedding dress from when she was married to Josh,” the reality star revealed. “And you could see the love. He just looked at her with love. So, I believe they’re really in love and I believe he really is faithful to her,” she said.
When ET read Josh’s admission statement to Singer, the reality star said she felt his excuse sounded plausible.
“People do silly things,” she said. “I can believe that Josh did something really silly. I think Kristen will be okay,” she added. “You know what, she really is a strong woman — she’ll be okay. She knows I only wish her the best.”
