Keeping her spirits up! Rumer Willis may have suffered a foot injury on Wednesday, June 24, but the actress-singer isn’t saying goodbye to her DWTS Live Tour pals just yet. The Dancing With the Stars Season 20 champ told Us Weekly that there’s still a chance she will kick up her heels once more.
“Probably towards the end,” Willis, 26, told Us at the Amy premiere in Hollywood on Thursday. “I am going to sing for a little bit, but hopefully in the last couple dates I’ll be able to dance.”
Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s eldest daughter shared an Instagram photo of her fractured right foot in a cast earlier this week.
“It hurts a little bit, but it’s not too bad. It was one of those things that I figured it was just something mellow…those injuries that you get as a dancer,” she explained to Us. “You kind of just have to work through the pain, but unfortunately it is something that I have to actually rest and take it easy for a little while. But I am still going to be on the tour.”
Indeed, with a mic in hand! Willis — who sang Britney Spears’ “Toxic” during DWTS — will be showing off her vocal skills during the tour. “I am going to be performing for everyone,” she said, “which I am really excited about.” Willis is a big fan of Adele, but has also been influenced by Amy Winehouse.
“I feel like my dad introduced me to her because I grew up listening to a lot of jazz and blues,” she told Us at the late singer’s documentary premiere on Thursday. “She had a lot of those vibes, and I think that is one of the reasons I was so drawn to her when I first heard her music. And those are still things I continue to listen to, I just wish there was more.”
Willis kicked off the summer show on June 13 with DWTS pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy, Witney Carson, Peta Murgatroyd, and Emma Slater, among others. The tour will travel to more than 40 cities across America and ends on Aug. 11.
