Savannah Chrisley and her fiancé, Jason Galanis, secretly got married before announcing her pregnancy with baby No. 1.
Chrisley, 29, and Galanis, 56, said “I do” in July at the Cayman Islands Baptist Church, per marriage records obtained by People months later on Thursday, October 29. The outlet also reported that the newlyweds exchanged vows after one year of dating.
Neither Savannah nor Galanis have publicly addressed their nuptials, which reportedly took place two days before the groom’s birthday. The reality TV alum’s father, Todd Chrisley, hinted that more details would come in due time.
“You have all these comments saying, ‘She’s having a child out of wedlock.’ Is she? Is she having a child out of wedlock?” Todd, 57, said on Thursday’s episode of the “Dumb Blonde” podcast. “At the end of the day, Savannah’s story is her story to tell. Do we know everything? Yes, we’re her parents.”
Savannah, one of Todd’s children with wife Julie Chrisley, first debuted her relationship with Galanis in July.
“He’s great … you can only hide for so long. He’s a financial guy, and he is, like, the calmest, sweetest human being in the entire world,” Savannah said on the “Whine Down” podcast, noting the couple “met through the political world of D.C.”
According to Savannah, she loved how supportive Galanis was of her career endeavors without naming her then-new beau.
“He tells me all the time, like, ‘Just do what you want to do, you don’t have to do what you don’t want to do, just do what you want to do,’” the “Unlocked” podcast host gushed. “He’s my biggest cheerleader, and he knows nothing about the whole TV world. … He’s not intimidated by my success, which is so great.”
Months later, Savannah revealed on Tuesday, October 27, that she and Galanis were engaged and expecting a baby. (Us exclusively revealed Galanis’ identity after her announcement.)
“When he gave me the ring, he was like, ‘Before I open this, I just want you to know that this is just an expression of love to you,’” Savannah said on her podcast of Galanis’ proposal speech during a trip to the Cayman Islands. “[He told me,] ‘This can be whatever you want it to be. This can be an engagement ring, a promise ring, a cocktail ring for all I care. I just want you to know how much I love you.’”
Savannah further revealed that she and Galanis were planning to get married in January 2027 before finding out about her pregnancy.
“Let me tell you, it was going to be a phenomenal time. It still is going to be a phenomenal time,” she teased. “It has just been pushed a few months to May of 2027. And that is because we got the surprise of a lifetime.”
