T-Pain’s Niece Stabbed to Death at a Florida Walgreens

T-Pain’s niece, Javona Glover, was stabbed to death at a Walgreens in Tallahassee, Florida, on Tuesday, August 30, the Associated Press reports.

According to the AP, the 23-year-old worked at the store located on West Tennessee Street. Police were called to the Walgreens around 10:15 a.m. and were informed that Glover had been stabbed and was bleeding heavily. The news agency reports that despite receiving medical care, Glover died as a result of her injuries.

Glover is survived by a 2-year-old daughter.

Shortly after the incident, T-Pain tweeted, asking his followers for information about the suspect.

“The police are still lookin for the coward ass n—a that just killed my niece at Walgreens in Tallahassee. If you got info pls help us out!” the 30-year-old rapper wrote on Tuesday. “Anybody in 850 got any info on this then step up pls. Thank you everybody for the support.”

He also shared a photo of Glover on his Instagram account with a series of emoji symbols.

According to WCTV, the Tallahassee Police Department has identified 25-year-old Tavon Q. Jackson as a suspect and has secured a warrant for his arrest in connection to the fatal stabbing. In security camera footage posted by WCTV, Jackson can be seen inside the store wearing a black T-shirt.

Walgreens has since issued a statement: "We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our team member. The store is temporarily closed while police conduct their investigation and we refer you to police for any additional information. Pharmacy patients who normally use this location can have their medications filled at our nearby stores located at 313 N. Monroe St. and 140 Capital Circle."
