Celebrating in style! Taylor Swift went all out for her best friend Abigail Anderson's birthday, incorporating a surprise for the ages.
Anderson, who has been Swift's BFF for 10 years and inspired the song "Fifteen," turned 25 on Saturday, April 4, and had quite the bash to celebrate. Surrounded by friends and loved ones, including celebrity pals Hayley Williams of Paramore and Victoria's Secret stunner Lily Aldridge, Anderson got her biggest gift from Swift.
The "Style" singer, also 25, took to Instagram on Sunday, April 5, to offer a peek into the surprise that she sprung on her bestie. In a series of three videos, Swift is shown addressing the birthday crowd from a platform with Anderson.
"One thing that I think it's really important that you know, if you don't already know this — a lot of you probably know this — her favorite all-time band in high school and still is Dashboard Confessional," Swift said of the birthday girl.
"I'm just asking a random question, do we have anyone here named Chris Carrabba," the country-turned-pop star continued, naming the lead singer of the "Screaming Infidelities" band. "Is there a Chris Carrabba? Is there? Is there a Chris Carrabba?"
Much to Anderson's delight, Carrabba, 39, then emerged from the crowd for a birthday serenade. Whipping out a guitar, the musician performed Dashboard's 2003 single "Hands Down" as Swift and Abigail sung along, embracing as they grooved to the music.
"Dude. Still crying," Anderson wrote via Instagram, sharing a shot of herself with Swift. "I died. There's no way. @chriscarrabba sang me a birthday song. @taylorswift @yelyahwilliams is this real life? #DASHBOARDFOLIFE."
