Bye-bye, Tay Tay! Taylor Swift looks adorably awkward in a throwback photo her childhood friend shared via Twitter on Thursday, December 17, of the two preteens as the lead characters in the play Bye Bye Birdie.
“If I get enough RT, you think @taylorswift13 will help me recreate this pic of us as Kim McAfee & Hugo Peabody? #tbt” Dan Hauk captioned a snapshot of himself as a braces-wearing teen with his arms awkwardly wrapped around a young Swift, now 26.
In the snapshot, Hauk dons a blue and black sweater vest and white T-shirt, while Swift wears a floral-print dress.

The “Wildest Dreams” singer has been known to post a few nostalgic throwbacks of her own — most recently, a cute photo of herself as a tiny tot on Sunday, December 13, in honor of her 26th birthday.
“Today I begin my 26th year of freaking out over stuff,” she captioned the shot, in which she dons a Little Mermaid sweatshirt and a tousled head of hair.
In July, Swift also shared a side-by-side comparison of herself performing onstage with Nick Jonas in 2009 and one of the pair performing “Jealous” together in 2015.
“I feel all the feelings now,” she captioned the photo, which she shared with fans via Twitter.
