No hard feelings! After it was revealed that Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood’s fiancé, Matt Baier, used to troll Kailyn Lowry online with mean tweets, the Teen Mom 2 star responded with a rather unexpected forgive-and-forget attitude.
“Honestly, it is what it is. Obviously I was skeptical about him at first because of it,” Lowry, 23, told RealMrHousewife.com on Tuesday, February, 23. “But I met him in person and he was very nice to me.”
“And let’s face it,” the mom to Isaac, 6, and Lincoln, 2, added. “I’m sure there are people we do know, consider friends and are acquaintances with that talk crap about us too.”
Considering how cruel his past comments were about Lowry, Baier, 44, should probably consider himself lucky to receive absolution from the MTV personality.
In 2014, he sent out a string of posts that included jabs like “The worst thing that ever happened to high definition is Kailyn’s face. #DAMN.” He even asked: “What was the topic of Kailyn’s book? How to bang ugly dudes, cheat in a shower and have my face always look like I’m allergic to shellfish?”
Prior to meeting Portwood, 25, and proposing to her in 2015, Baier proved himself to be a Teen Mom fanatic, also tweeting provocative messages to other cast members from the franchise like Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans.
Compared to the current drama in Lowry’s life, however, Baier’s cutting remarks seem trivial. In the trailer for season 7 of Teen Mom 2, it’s revealed that the Pennsylvania native’s husband Javi Marroquin is being deployed by the Air Force and that the couple suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.
