Teresa Giudice Describes Her Reaction to 15-Month Prison Sentence on Watch What Happens Live: “It Was Unexpected”

Now that a couple days have passed since Teresa and Joe Giudice’s fraud case sentencing, the mother of four is ready to voice her fears, concerns, and heartache on a special segment of Watch What Happens Live with host Andy Cohen. See Teresa's reaction to her prison sentence.

The special, which airs Monday, Oct. 6 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo, features Teresa’s initial reaction to her 15-month prison sentence. It was recorded the day after the court hearing, which allowed the cookbook author the opportunity to give her candid response.

“I was so nervous yesterday that I was shaking,” she tells Cohen. “My nerves were pulling. At one point, I couldn’t move my fingers. They were stuck. I couldn’t open my hands. My nerves were shot. I’ve had sleepless nights. I, of course, I was shocked. It was very unexpected. I don’t even know what to say.” Find out the judge’s reason behind Teresa’s sentence.

Teresa Giudice opens up about her prison sentencing with her husband Joe by her side on Watch What Happens Live.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star sat next to her husband Joe, who received 41 months in prison, holding his hand throughout the interview. Tre is mostly concerned for her four young daughters, begging her husband to care for them the way she would in her absence.

“My husband is a great father, a great husband, but I do everything with my daughters,” she explained. “I’m the one that’s hands-on. All I’ve said to my husband was ‘Please take care of our daughters, that’s all I ask. You’ve gotta do what I do.’”

Of her four girls, who range in age from 5 to 13, it’s her oldest, Gia Giudice, that Teresa seems the most concerned about, as she has a better understanding of what’s going on.

“She said it’s going to be okay,” Teresa said of Gia’s reaction. “She was being strong for me, I could tell. She said ‘Mommy don’t worry about it. I’ll be there. I’ll help Daddy with the girls.’ She said ‘That’ll make me a better mom. That’ll prepare me for when I’m a mom.’ Oh my god, it broke my heart when she said that. She said the one person she was worried about was me.”
