A made-for-TV romance! Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario is engaged to Suits actor Patrick J. Adams, Us Weekly can confirm. "They got engaged in early January and have been keeping it a secret," a source tells Us. "She's been hiding her ring in the press."
Bellisario, 28, and Adams, 32, who first met while performing in a play back in 2009, have been dating for three years. How do they pull off their long-distance relationship? "A lot of air miles…You make it work!" she told Us of their dynamic back in December. (ABC Family's popular series films in L.A., while Adams' USA Network show is shot in Toronto.)
"We're not really around each other for many months out of the year, so it's just kind of a fun process to get back into the 'getting to know you' kind of phase of things," the brunette star added. Possibly alluding to a big life change, Bellisario hinted, "We're actually right now in the middle of a big adventure, but I have a feeling it's going to take a lot longer than just a vacation."
Both stars of their respective successful TV shows, Bellisario told Us that they compare notes. "I think we're really in a wonderful position with each other — to be able to support and listen and empathize with whatever is going on — because we're both going through it," she continued.
Like most couples, Bellisario said communication and understanding help bind the two together: "Might be in different cities — with a different cast or a different story line — but we are both experiencing a very unique opportunity in both of our careers at similar times," she explained to Us. "So it's really, it¹s definitely something that we talk about a lot."
