Bad news for Vince Neil. The Mötley Crüe frontman could face up to six months in prison for an incident in which he allegedly assaulted an autograph seeker back in April, Rolling Stone reports. He’s been charged with misdemeanor battery.
As previously reported, Neil, 55, was accused of attacking a female fan in Las Vegas on April 7. He allegedly grabbed the woman by her hair and pulled her to the ground.
Nicolas Cage, who was there at the time, stepped in following the alleged assault. The actor, 52, reportedly got into a brawl with Neil while trying to restrain him outside the Aria Resort & Casino. The altercation was caught on camera by TMZ. In the video, Cage could be heard yelling, “Stop this s–t now!”
Neil has had trouble with the law before. In 2011, he was charged with battery for allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend Alicia Jacobs. He avoided jail time, and the charge was dropped after he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
Despite the latest development, Neil appears to be in good spirits. He’s been touring solo and will next perform at the Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California, on July 29. Earlier this week, he was back in Las Vegas.
“Thanks Vegas!” he tweeted Tuesday, July 5. “Awesome Fourth of July!! Never seen a 3 hour fire works show.”
