Bosworth gushed over Long after wrapping their untitled project in the south. “THANK YOU for lifting us up ... you kept it light & full of laughter daily, even through the toughest moments,” she wrote via Instagram of the Accepted actor. “You gnome how much I love ya 💛 (sorry had to ;).”

The California native thanked the city of Fayetteville for being so hospitable, noting “everyone was so darn nice” before joking about the quirky murals in town. “The signs in particular were unique, as you all can see in pic 1 (in which I tried to be a creepy doll & couldn’t stop laughing :).”

Two months after the Remember the Titans actress was spotted without her wedding ring, she announced her split from husband Polish. The estranged couple began dating in 2011 after meeting on the set of Big Sur. They tied the knot two years later in Philipsburg, Montana.

“Our hearts are full, as we have never been so enamored and deeply grateful for one another as we do in this decision to separate,” Bosworth wrote via social media. “Together, over the last ten years, Michael and I have chosen love, every time. We hold hands as tightly today as we entangled fingers on our wedding day.”

Bosworth was spotted spending getting cozy with Long at a deli in Fairfield, Connecticut, according to a fan spotting. That same month, the celebs were seen in Massachusetts, with an eyewitness documenting his run-in with the New Girl alum and his “camera shy” girlfriend Bosworth via Instagram.

The Jeepers Creepers star confirmed that he was in a relationship during an episode of his “Life is Short” podcast. While discussing pizza toppings with his guest, Long revealed, “People have been saying [pineapple] lately and it’s funny my girlfriend said that hers is uhh — she loves the pineapple, too.”

Long shared a rare glimpse of Bosworth via his Instagram Story after they visited Kauai to celebrate Australian magazine editor Laura Brown’s wedding to comedian Brandon Borror-Chappell.

“@laurabrown99 congratulations on participating in this EPIC first hug (…and also on your wedding, I GUESS!),” the New Girl alum captioned a photo of himself hugging Brown, with the Blue Crush actress looking on adoringly.

Long gushed about Bosworth during an appearance on Chelsea Handler’s “Dear Chelsea” podcast.

"There's something about it, for me, that I feel like I need to protect and keep sacred because it feels sacred," he said when the comedian asked whether she could use Bosworth’s name. “I’ve never had anything like this before; I've never experienced this. They drive back to her place, this mansion in the woods. And then they kiss like he's never kissed before," Long says in the clip before things take a frightening turn.

The twosome confirmed that he proposed “in a very organic way” after the couple went to therapy together.

“We had just gone through this really hard thing and we had spoken to a therapist and we were trying to move through things at the time and she gave us a really great piece of advice which was: ‘Make sure that you’re pretty consistently asking the other what you need, or asking the other what they need,’” Bosworth explained on Long’s “Life is Short with Justin Long” podcast. “I remember waking up not so many mornings after that therapy session and I looked at Justin and I said … I smiled at you, and I said, ‘What do you need?’ And he, like, really looked at me and he said, ‘To spend my life with you.’ And I smiled and I said, ‘Well, yeah, you have that. Oh my gosh, you have that,’ and he said, ‘No, I mean I really want to spend my life with you.’”

Secretly married? Long referred to Bosworth as his "now-wife" on an episode of his "Life is Short With Justin Long" podcast.

"I was [in Bulgaria] while I was like really falling in love with my now-wife," the actor told guest Kyra Sedgwick, referring to Bosworth's on-set visit to Barbarian.

The Along for the Ride star took to social media to celebrate her beau’s birthday while on a tropical getaway in the Galápagos Islands. 

“I know from your mother that, as a little boy, you used to study images in books from a land far, far away … and you would dream of visiting that place one day: one of tortoises and iguanas and sea lions and penguins,” she wrote via Instagram alongside a series of photos of the pair on their adventure. “Colors of sea life that make up underwater rainbows, and countless star fish lining the ocean floor, a marine constellation. Watching you experience your childhood dream these last few weeks has been the greatest honor Hansee 💛🐢🇪🇨.” 

She continued: “Our world is better and brighter for your endless curiosity, your willingness and drive to seek and explore, your profound empathy for our planet’s creatures, your shining exuberance for life, and your deep, deep ability to love. Bosworth concluded her sweet tribute by promising the New Girl alum that they are “just getting started not his big, beautiful adventure” together.

In a special birthday tribute for Bosworth, Long shared his hopes for the couple to have a family one day.

“You fell in love with your first silent retreat and the last Beatles song. You felt a playful poltergeist shake your bed in Stockbridge, and you made so many people smile with your warmth and curiosity. … You overwhelmed a boy when you first called him ‘husband’ and made him feel luckier than he’s ever felt,” he wrote via Instagram. “One day our kids might ask me, ‘Dad, why did you write sappy things about Mom on that old Instagram app? The one you won’t let us use?’ I’d say ‘Because she completed all of your Dad’s favorite love songs. Even ones he hadn’t thought about since he was a kid.’”

When Long’s birthday rolled around, Bosworth returned the favor with a touching message.

“I loved you long before I knew you. And now that I know you, I wish there was another better word for love because that word seems to pale in how I feel for you today,” she wrote via Instagram alongside a Reel of the pair. “Happy Birthday to my favorite person. You are so good. So incredibly decent. So kind and deep and curious and wild. I will always be waiting, as you drive home to me.”

The couple revealed that they were going to be working together again on a new thriller titled Coyote.

“Like the road runner before us… we took on a wily coyote! (And his rabid friends… and slowly encroaching wild fires… and marital strife). Thank you to @variety for the nice announcement,” Bosworth captioned a pic of her and Long on set. “(Though you’ve got these ‘newlyweds’ wondering how long that term lasts and if we’re now not just two regular ol’ ‘weds’…?🐺👍🏻🔥) Regardless!
