It’s a sparkler! After an emotional season of The Bachelorette, JoJo Fletcher finally decided that Jordan Rodgers was the one. And she has some serious bling to prove it. Watch their romantic moment in the video above!
Fletcher, 25, admitted that she was in love with the former NFL player, 27, just before he got down on one knee and presented her with a diamond engagement ring weighing in at more than 3.5 carats on the season finale of the ABC reality show on Monday, August 1.
The Neil Lane bling, picked out by Rodgers, features an oval-cut center stone and pavé diamonds along the band. According a source, the ring costs about $85,000.
“It was Jordan’s favorite from the minute he saw it,” the insider told Us Weekly. “She also loves it, and it’s one of the most unusual and rare cut stones to be seen on the show thus far.”
Just before popping the question, the longtime front-runner told Fletcher he loves her because of who he is when he’s around her. “I love you so much. I love you so much,” the former quarterback told her. “I fell in love at first with just us — just the person I could be right away with you, how comfortable and confident, and how you challenged me and continue to challenge me to be the best version of myself. And I love that.”
He went on to profess just how much the real estate developer means to him. “You made me believe that love doesn’t need to have a script, that there’s not one way to draw it up,” he continued. “It’s moments like this, where I’m holding your hand, I’m looking in your eyes, and I know I’m so unbelievably in love with you. You’re my best friend, you’re my soulmate, I’m going to keep you safe, I’m going to protect you. I’m going to wake up every morning and choose you over and over and over again until you tell me I can’t.”
Fletcher reassured him that his feelings were reciprocated. “I just want to tell you how I feel because I don’t know if I’ve done that fully yet,” the Dallas native told him. “Jordan, I love you so much, and I’ve been waiting to tell you how I feel. I just love you so much. … I didn’t want you to get down on one knee until you knew that.”
Rodgers made it official, declaring that that their love was as genuine as it gets. “It’s real, and it’s been real,” he said of their bond. “I love you so much, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Joelle Hannah Fletcher, will you marry me?”
After she accepted, the aspiring sports broadcaster told the Bachelorette, “Give me that hand!” The pair are still happily engaged, they revealed on After the Final Rose.
Rodgers and Fletcher’s happy moment during the season 12 finale followed a particularly painful moment with runner-up Robby, whom Fletcher had to send home.
“I can’t let you get down on one knee. I can’t let you do that because I don’t want to take that moment from you,” she told the former competitive swimmer. “Robby, I woke up this morning wanting it to be you. Every day, I’ve been wanting it to be you. I fell in love with you, but for some reason my heart is somewhere else.”
